Remote Monitoring 101 is a course designed for allied health professionals wanting an in-depth introduction to remote monitoring for cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) with an emphasis on pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs). This course seeks to provide participants with an understanding of remote device follow-up care, manufacturer specifications, and nuances. Additionally, HRS guidelines and clinician experience are used to provide an understanding of common workflow and clinic practices.
The course will briefly touch on some foundational content regarding device follow-up interpretation, especially in regards to clinician workflow. However, the focus of the content presented is remote monitoring. It is recommended that allied health professionals participating in the course have foundational knowledge in device follow-up interpretation. Topics presented in the course:
