Online Jumpstart Syllabus

Course Descriptions

Over the past thirty years, ATI has been a go-to resource for education in the cardiac rhythm management space.  The Jumpstart program originally began as an exclusively in-person course, but is now offered as either an online course or an in-person course.

Online Jumpstart Course:
Students who opt to enroll in the Online Jumpstart course will have:
– 40+ hours of online learning modules
– Lectures
– Assessments
– Programmer tutorials and demos
– Activities and supplemental resources

In-Person Jumpstart Course:

In addition to receiving our online Jumpstart Course, students will attend one of our quarterly, week-long in-person sessions at ATI’s home office in Greenville, SC.

This features:
– 30 programmers representing all four device companies
– Simulated patient case studies
– A wide variety of pacemakers, ICD’s and CRT devices to practice nearly every aspect of follow-up
– Opportunities to practice sensing and threshold tests
– A multitude of troubleshooting scenarios
– Lectures on upper rate behavior, PMT, stored EGM analysis and more

The hands-on practice available in this in-person course is highly recommended for the aspiring cardiac device clinician.

This course does not qualify for CME/CEU credits.

EP Jumpstart Syllabus

Course Descriptions

Students will learn:

  •   The different energy sources used during ablation procedures including: RF ablation, Cryoablation, and the newest emerging technology, Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA)
  •   The mechanisms behind arrhythmia formation
  •  Cardiac anatomy and the structures that are commonly involved in arrhythmias
  •  How each cardiac arrhythmia occurs and the workflow typically seen in an EP lab during each procedure. These arrhythmias include:
    o   Atrial fibrillation
    o   Typical/Atypical Atrial Flutter
    o   Atrial Tachycardias
    o   AVRT
    o   AVNRT
    o   Wide Complex Tachycardias
  • How electroanatomic mapping is performed and their usefulness in determining certain arrhythmias
  • How to perform and understand an EP study in order to identify arrhythmias
  • How to identify structures seen on Intracardiac Echocardiography (ICE) images
  • Connectology between the catheters mapping interface
  • How to read intracardiac electrograms (iEGMs)

Remote Monitoring Syllabus

Course Descriptions

The growing prevalence of remote monitoring has added an additional need for educating clinicians on managing remote monitoring systems and analyzing remote transmissions.  This course seeks to fulfill that need, offering over 25 modules packed with information to help remote monitoring technicians learn:
– the basics of cardiac devices
– remote monitoring networks and navigation
– remote transmission analysis
– remote transmission triaging and management.

Mobile CRM Education

Course Descriptions
– Custom, in-person courses built around the CRM education needs of your clinical staff, held at your facility.  From new hires to experienced clinicians, this program can enhance the CRM knowledge base of and provide training to a wide variety of students.
 
– Create a custom online course, choosing from a selection of 60+ modules covering cardiac anatomy and physiology, electrocardiography, cardiac pathophysiology, arrhythmia recognition, cardiac device fundamentals, IBHRE prep, demos, tutorials, assessments, lectures and case studies.
 
– We bring the lab to you!  ATI utilizes your clinic’s programmers combined with our patient simulators and a wide variety of devices, representing the four major CRM companies, to provide multiple hours of hands-on programmer practice. Students will experience a variety of device scenarios, from the normal device check to advanced troubleshooting.
